Reviewfuse.com

I wanted to post an amazing website I came across yesterday called Reviewfuse. It is a place where all writers can post their work and get feedback on. This not just any place to post your writing hoping someone will read your work. It is setup in a way that I don’t understand how no one before thought of. When you submit a piece of writing you are assigned three reviews you must read before you can post another piece. I have seen this before, at another site I used to go, you never get any useful feedback, because people are going to just read through it say it was great or little comments that really don’t help. True you will get those heck I have gotten two already like that. However here’s the part of the genius of this site. You can review your reviewer. What? When you get feedback you go and and review how helpful the review was.

The site tracks this and will send work to these users based on how helpful you are. Myself I reviewed four pieces yesterday gave great details on what worked what sucked. So far each one of them thanked me for my notes and thoughts and I got above expectations or yes to. This is great because my future posts will be sent to people like myself who actually give helpful feed back. In a few more posts I should be getting lots of helpful feedback on my writing instead of those who breeze through it just to get it done. Heck the reviews I did I breezed through, but still gave tons of thoughts and suggests I am not about to read through it slowly I am not getting paid to do it, but I will give enough feedback to help the writer out.

The second reason this site is useful, as you tag in your posts the type of genre it is, youth, fantasy, etc. The site assigns people who write in the same genre as you do. This site not only gets you people who give as much helpful thoughts as you do but gets people who do that who write and read the same genre. At first you might have to deal with people who don’t read the stuff you write, but after a few submissions you will get the people you want reading your work.

I highly suggest you check it out, best part of it , it is free. Sure you can go pro and get some extra advantages, but the main services you don’t pay for. Check the site out, and give it a try.

Update

It is time for another update, it is going to be a quick update instead of a long like normal. There has been major progress on two projects that it is time to stop holding off on them and start writing. I have decided to start writing the first book of my Facade Crusades series, Celestial Child. I have written the first two chapters and currently working on chapter three. I am referring to the very detail outline that I wrote up last year only to know what needs to happen in the chapter. So far I have not needed it for anything else. I am have already deviated from the outline since removing scenes that show what the villains are doing and keeping through the view point of three main characters. I am sure there will be other characters point of views later on other then the three main. I know at some point I will do some kind of flashback to show how everything started.

I could have started to write this book a while ago, along with the first book of Marks of Eilira. I have was holding off, because I was planning to go get a masters in Creative Writing. However those plans have since changed, there was no reason to work on a book only to have to stop or slow down with due to school work. I had planned to write one of the books as my final thesis, but again since I am not going for that now I have no excuse not to write them. I have decided to work out a writing schedule that I am writing every day, meeting my 1000 to 2000 word count. The Chronicles of Skylar Grant story will continue to be that what I write daily, except for when I write for my book. The schedule is not setup yet, but I plan to use my days off not just to write but to develop other writing projects.

Once I finish Celestial Child, I will put it aside and move on to book one of Marks of Eilira. When that book is finished, the plan is to come back to Celestial Child read through what I wrote and work on the second draft. Then move on to the second draft of book one of Marks of Eilira. Sometime after book books are finished I will select one of them to go off to get a professional critique. That is all I have for now, you can look forward to the next chapter of Skylar Grant soon.
