I haven’t posted much lately, mainly because I am busy with school and lazy when I have free time and should be writing so I can get my damn first draft finished. I have written a few times but haven’t posted on the words. Mostly because I am realizing what I realized back the last two times I wrote this book. There is a lot of drag and very uninteresting events that happen in-between some really cool interesting scenes. While I will address them in the second draft, when i write it my focus is to get through the first. I am going to jot down the ideas I have to fix this, so I have them when i read through the draft six weeks or so after I finish it. Back on point, the words I wrote aren’t bad, but what I am writing doesn’t have the intensity of the last action packed scene I wrote. I am very close to the next few action scenes which lead to another major point of the story and with little uninteresting things in between.
With that said, one thing I would like to update has that in the past few weeks I have been getting major creative waves for several projects. I updated and mapped out the whole tournament for Gathering series. I got the prime focus of my long in Developmental hell Dragon Nations series that I am excited about. I had a great change for Aceon ring’s series removing the villain I have and placing him else where but still a part in the story with an different villain.
Not to mention I have been trying for a while now to come up with 14 symbols for the symbols used in the Sentinels marks magic system. Nothing I drew ever worked, to the point I wanted to tattoo it on my arm. That’s right I am going to put one of the bands and six symbols on my left arm as they would look. Maybe someday I will have a whole gauntlet wrapping around my for forearm. That has been the test to if it will work. Well Now I have my something that came about with drawing paint splatters on the walk as symbols the ones I drew were good, but then I thought what if I now tried to draw them in without the mass but as characters. So i did that and bam I had my symbols, but it didn’t end there. I have been looking for a way to combined all my series under on giant series which under the name Narthex which more and more won’t be the title of the series; I wanted some kind of writing that would appear in that over arching series that main character is trying to figure out, that I could place in other books a here and there. Well I found it, while the original vision was to have it on something else, but the marks while only 14 in the book there are far more. At my count I have 31 I have one for each of my book series in the various stages of development and to my surprised found similar symbols in Echoes that represent elements. So today I redrew them completely making them look like the others. As time goes on, I am sure more will appear.
